How Concorde Has Transformed East Fortune

Fri Apr 14, 2006 1:31 am

What a turnaround the museum has had since it got Concorde, and a hardworking team of enthusiasts.
Hopefully I'll be visiting it sometime this year  bigthumbsup

Make sure you prebook to go on Concorde

They have no concept of turn up visitors wanting to do it

Dont even keep 10 places per tour free 'just in case'

I hope this boost will make them able to take care of all the unwanted Cosford civil aircraft, like the FULL 707, not only the front of it (which is not much different from a 737 nose anyway).
nobody has ever died from hard work, but why take the risk?

I must say that Concorde (G-BOAA) is definitely the primary attraction at East Fortune. I was fortunate in that I got there at 10am when visitors were minimal and thus had the opportunity to spend lots of time aboard and around the aircraft with limited interference from other visitors.

However, I must say that I was disappointed with the rest of the museum as fighter aircraft and prop planes don't interest me all that much. Concorde was definitely worth the visit and entrance fee alone.

I took approx. 90 pics of Concorde at East Fortune so email me if you want more info.
