Service On South African

Sat Jun 10, 2000 9:02 am

I'll be flying to London later in the month. Has anybody flown with SAA recently? I would love to know how the service levels are like? They usually try too hard, or not at all!

I havn't heard any bad reports about SAA recently. As your outbound flight will be on a 747-400, you will be obliged to sit on the lower deck - I suggest just behind the wing - then you can watch the flaps doing some amazing things. On the return flight, you will be flying on the 747-300. Note that SAA's 747-300s have economy class seating on the upper deck. See if you can't reserve a seat on the upper deck now. It makes visits to the cockpit a lot easier.
