Interim AWA Logos To Remain On New Livery

Sat Apr 15, 2006 7:28 am

Small AWA logos are to appear on the nose gear door on new livery aircraft operated by HP. A319 aircraft 817 and 818 are the first to receive this.

Probably because the aircraft are still being operated on the certificate of HP until the merger has been completed for 100%.

I don't know whether there are any FAA rules about this?

I would imagine for crews to help tell the difference, incase they can't see the tail number.

That is exactly what AA did with TWA's

it was TWA-An American Company, and a small TWA sticker on the side of the plane.

It's supposedly for the benefit of ground crews at shared stations.

I'm just wondering if they'll end up being permanent. At lot of us here at HP hope so, to keep yet another little piece of our heritage alive.

Sounds smart to me, could be a minor issue being that many of our aircraft will look the same. (not counting CFM56 vs V2500 Airbus)

I congratulate your company and it's heritage c/s. What a simple idea to pull the troops together. Certainly a fresh move from Northwest's ideas.
