I know someone who is going on a very much earned sabbatical on Monday to Sydney. She has worked in nursing all her life, and for the most part she has spent it working in hospices. The last 20 years she has spent as Chief Executive of a Hospice here in Scotland, where she built it from a small nursing home into one of Scotland's Leading Hospices with 30 beds, a large day care facility, a teaching centre, outreach for care in the community and all the associated facilities. Apart from this she has never sought personal praise, she would often start work at 6am and not finish gone 11pm, the patients and their families were her family.
Anyway now that she has retired she is heading off for 3 months to Australia for a sabbatical, she is flying it one go (obviously with a fuel stop) what I was wondering was if there is anyway we could contact BA
to mark this occasion - an upgrade or something would be fantastic but I would settle for an announcement and a smile from the crew.
Can anyone tell me what I could do or have any suggestions on how to mark this would greatly appreciated. I know there are plenty of worthy people travelling every day but for this person I am willing to try and stick my neck out, along with many others for her remarkable work for the community, and its people in their real hours of need.
