Upon opening it up I can see it's acutally a Tri-Star from a charter airline called Air Rum. I'm sure you'll agree the tail on (one!) of the Tri-Stars is very BA-esque. Differs from other tails in the fleet. I took a look at their site and found out it's registered office is in Sierra Leone, with the operations office in Jordan. Anyone know why that is?
The English on the website is interesting. One of the main links on the homepage is to 'Safety and Reliability', which is something you don't often find on the first page of a site and although the intentions are good, it doesn't inspire much confidence.
On the left hand side of the hompage is a scrolling box which gives you links to photos of the aircraft. Some interior and exterior shots which are fine, but at the bottom of the scrolling box are hyperlinks titled 'LOL', there are a few of them. When you click on it another window opens with an image that won't load and a caption stating nothing but: "BWAAAH"
Most worrying of all though is if you click on their 'Services' link, you are confronted with this text:
y0u g0t 0wN3z By (( Eddy_BAck0o )) AM in Jordan Dude !! Catch Me iF u Can !! Am Challange Your Security ! i Did Broke iT ! The reazen For This Hacked = y0u prevent of Me My Study !! So i Prevenet you and Any Server in ( Jordan ) . See Yaa s00n (*^~)
Click on the Insurance link and you will come across this:
We are a family in Air Rum … From one of the most important principle and role for our company, Air Rum is really committed to ensuring passengers the highest safety standards so Air Rum fleet, passengers, and crews are insured through one of the most leading insurance brokers in the world - Willis Ltd. of London. We take care for you on Air Rum..
The Destinations section is certainly worth a look.
They operate 5 Tri-Star, reg's are: 9L-LDV, 9L-LEQ, 9L-LEU (Ex Delta), 9L-LFB, 9L-LFC. Very little in the way of photos on the database.
Anyone had any experiences with them or have any additional info?
