While there will always be a select few who go out to "trash" a plane, and their behaviour is inexcusable, the majority of passengers are considerate of their cabin environment and fellow passengers. It is not their fault that if they drop something it is impossible to retrieve from the floor because the seats are too closely spaced, turbulence knocks things off and the dimly lit bathrooms seem to have a variety of fiddly little buttons in odd places to make things work- it can be down right confusing.
Is a plane messy after 400 people are crammed into it for a 15 hour long haul? Yes. Is it trashed or mistreated, no. Let's no be insulting to passengers or pigs now.
as you have a few valid points in your post...i have to disagree with you for your ending. i took a look at your profile and it says nothing about you working for an airline (Pilot, F/A, customer service). If you are, forgive me...if not...please take a moment and put yourself in the shoes of at least F/A's or customer service.
for me that works about 120hrs a month...i am on a plane A LOT. i see things people do that is totally disgusting, rude, AND
annoying. (most of my statements below are from my observations when working and traveling leisurely)
seeing a parent change their child's diaper ON
A TRAY table...someone's nasty feet (with or without a sock) on the tray table...and then seeing someone thats nice as can be eating their meal on that same tray table. (If they only knew what happens on those trays).
or parents letting their kids throw their snack foods all over the floor (crushing them into the carpet) and not giving a care when they leave.
letting a baby play "bouncy-bounce" on the tray table and then find that after the flight and everyone has deplaned...the tray is now broken.
having a passenger have the balls to pee in a soda bottle, close it off, and leave the bottle in the seat back pocket.
i'm sorry, i see a whole lotta stuff that people would not dare do when they are at someone else's house.
as for the "barfing". i know people feel really embarrassed if they puke on the plane. thats something that is (at times) unavoidable. its gross but i usually don't let that get to me.
anyways, i think i've said enough on that. thanx for reading.
