Lufthansa Consulting, a wholly owned subsidiary of Lufthansa Airlines in Germany, was awarded the contract to do a comprehensive efficiency audit on Cayman Airways, Minister of Tourism Charles Clifford announced Friday.

The Central Tenders Committee awarded Lufthansa Consulting the contract after reviewing 11 different bids.

The audit will look at six key components of Cayman Airways, including human resources, information technology, marketing and sales, route planning and scheduling, operations and purchasing and supply chain.

Because I am sure they are not going to like what they have to say. Though if they listen and act upon what LH has to say, it could actually be a new day for Caymanair.

SInce they moved their arrival/departure times (some time ago) to IAH..has it helped the loads...I know that CO has a depature to Cayman about the same time as they do.
When in doubt, hold on to your altitude. No-one has ever collided with the sky.

Checking the Cayman web site, it would appear that IAH only sees 4 flights a week (Sa, Su, We and Th) and the We and Th flights are seasonal. As for the A/C, I believe that the 733 is the primary model on the route.

A year or so ago there was a rumour that IAH was on the chopping block, thankfully the flights continue. However, I am nervous as to what LH may suggest to their route strucure and how IAH may fare.
