Fuel Burn Of Airbus And Boeing?

Tue Apr 25, 2006 11:39 am

Hey everyone,

While this thread will probably turn into some sort of A vs B discussion to some degree, I've been wondering what the fuel burn of......well, basically every aircraft out there flying. Everyone is always saying how X burns less than Y and such, but does anyone have the published figures for fuel burn per hour on any/all of the following aircraft:

A-319
A-320
A-321
A-330
A-340 200/300
A-340 500/600
A-380 (tentative at least)

717
727-200
737-300/400/500
737-600/700/800/900
747-100/200/300
747-400
757
767
777-200
777-300
787 (ballpark??)

DC-9
MD-82/83
MD-90
DC-10
MD-11

Thanks!!

I probably won't be able to tell you the burn-rate, but I could give you some common fuel loads for some of these aircrafts and destinations.

i.e.

A/C A/L Org-Dest Common Load

A319 NWA DEN-DTW 16.8
A319 NWA DEN-MSP 20.0
757-2 NWA DEN-MSP 30.0
757-2 ATA DEN-PHX 21.0
737-7 Atran DEN-ATL 16.0
MD82 Delta DEN-ATL 25.0
737-3 AS DEN-SEA 21.0
A321 USA DEN-PHL 28.0
737-7 SWA DEN-LAS 14.0
CRJ-4 SKW DEN-SLC 6.8
CRJ-4 PINN DEN-MEM 10.5
ERJ 145 TRANS DEN-STL 8.0

Please keep in mind that these are NOT averages, these are common loads on these particular flights. Loads will vary, as some of you may already know, by weather, load, destination and through city.

Let me know if you would like more information. I can give information on any aircraft that flies in and out of DEN Concourse C.

Thanks!
