Nashville Airport Question - BNA

Tue Apr 25, 2006 2:35 pm

On my latest flight into Nashville our plane landed on runway 20L. On short final, I noticed a DC-9 fuselage sitting off of the runway several hundred yards from the approach end of 20L. I presume that it is the remnants of the TWA aircraft that landed hard several years back.

I was hoping that someone could tell me whether the fuselage is located within the airport's secure area or if I can reach it by the roads that appear to lead to it on the sat photo:

I'd love to snoop around if it's allowed. Thanks!

Take a look at this thread. What you see is either a fire trainer or a mock aircraft set up for rescue op's. No Access

It is not within the SIDA area, but is still on airport property and allows you no access. I took this picture the day after the accident while the plane was still sitting on our ramp.
