Well, Aeroflot stopped all Routes in Central and Southern Africa exept their "every second week" flight into Luanda, Angola operated with an IL6. I guess there isn't enough traffic between Russia and all those African countries. If the route would make money, I'm pretty sure they would have continued it.

SVO-LAD is the longest IL-62 flight at the moment  yuck

Also I guess after the collapse of the U.S.S.R the ties btwn. African countries and Russia arent as good as they used to be when African students traveled to universities to study (they still though, even with the carzy killings) and russian workers working on developing the infrastructure in developing African countries, millitary training, etc.. the decline in this has probably led to a lack of demand in the amount of traffic btwn. these two places .

I thought the same. So where does the Il-62 come from?  Yeah sure

IIRC, Aeroflot did keep them for charter services. I could be wrong, though.

Well, the flight is loaded with as IL6 in the different CRS and on the website of aeroflot if you check the schedule. I don't know where this IL6 comes from. Is there any connection between Rossia and Aeroflot? Are there any other carriers based in SVO operating IL6?

Could be Rossiya. They run the Tu-204 for SVO-BOM.
