News Video On MIA's Gate & Apron Control

Sat Apr 29, 2006 1:17 pm

CBS channel 4 in Miami did an interesting segment on MIA's Gate and Apron control operation last night and this morning. I supervised this section of Airside Operations from 1986 until I retired in 2000, starting with 33 gates and ending up with over 130 gates due to construction of new gates and expiration of all long-term leases on gates.

Lonny Craven replaced me as supervisor and is seen in the video, along with controller Rick Carrera who is one of the best guyz down there.
