AerLingus At BWI

Mon Jun 12, 2000 9:58 pm

I heard over the weekend that AerLingus would be starting service to BWI soon. Any confirmation of this? and will they be using A330s? I also wanted to know what operator flies 767s into BWI other than British. I was visiting someone who lives right under the 33L approach and couldn't make it out. This was 6pm by the way. The 767 was immediately followed by an ATA L-1011 I assume to have been on a Charter.

Answered my first question already at the BWI website. They start service in September 3 days a week with the A-330 and will eventually make it a daily.

Good News. Gregg in MD

The announcement is also on the Aer Lingus web page, www.aerlingus.ie

This route gives them the chance to serve the Washington DC area probably without paying higher fees if they flew into Dulles.

The only other airline that has scheduled service using 767's is United. Sometimes American throws one in and sometimes TWA does, but not often.
