Tsunami Warnings And Airports, Airlines

Thu May 04, 2006 4:23 am

Earlier today, there was a Tsunami warning for New Zealand, Fiji and other islands in the South Pacific due to an large underwater earthquake in the South Pacific Ocean. Fortunately, no Tsunami occurred in those areas, but it does raise questions, especially in coastal areas where many cities and their airports are.
My question: How seriously and what decisions are made by airports and airlines when there are Tsunami warnings?
