Hi,
It was widely covered here in Russia, all over TV news. Today is declared a Special day in Russia and Armenia - devoted to the thoughts about lost souls - no entertainment shows, etc... I know there's a word in English for that, shame I forgot what it was  Sad (too little english practice I am getting lately).

People I know speculate now about possible human factor involved, despite preliminary official version of sudden weather change.

 Sad

There was breaking news on most online services I see, and that is several.
Regular news coverage here in Australia, perhaps not quite as much as if it happened in NYC, Sydney or London but pretty much the same or more as most other aircrashes.

It did occour in a part of the world not known for extensive news coverage!
If your camera sends text messages, that could explain why your photos are rubbish!

Do you mean "mourning?"

Or a solemn observance.

Yep, mourning - thanks for refreshing it for me. Did not know about "solemn observance" - but will do now.

Actually I was thinking that the media coverage was better than usual. Some, but not a lot of wild speculation - and usually limited to quotes from so-called experts.

Bravo to the media, for not blowing this out of proportion (as they usually do)

I think it did get "normal" coverage. What I realized is that Boeing and Airbus incidents get more attention than other manufacturer crashes. Is this true?
