What's Next For Gulfstream And Co?

Sat May 06, 2006 3:06 am

What cool new high-end stuff do Gulfstream and co have in the works?

Publically, Gulfstream seem to be talking most about the mid range right now, which is great business-wise. I get that -- they're running a for-profit organization.

But the 12-year-old in me wants to know what's next at the high end? Faster, farther, higher-tech, etc. etc.

I know the race is on for an SSBJ, and Gulfstream has been working hard behind the scenes developing and lobbying for their "QSJ" (Quiet Supersonic Jet), talking about the "Gulfstream Whisper" to get permission to fly supersonic over land.

What other cool new stuff is in the works?

Super-duper-ultra long range (we're talking 772LR type ranges vs "mere" G550 ranges)?
