I don't remember much if any service by the old PanAm (as such) at DAL
, but the ones mentioned above I do recall.
Memory is playing tricks, but in early '70s, I believe PanAm had a overnight milk-run that went from IAH
with about 4-5 stops in between. It was like IAH
if it was early '70s)-OKC
(or the old downtown airport)-DSM
. It was operated in a 707, but with an AA
flight and cabin crew. I remember I flew the airline the crew came from on the return trip a couple of days later...not on a PanAm aircraft.
Sorry to be so vague, but I lived in Houston on two different occasions and can't remember if it was early 70's or 80's. And while I remember Kansas City, I don't remember the other destinations.
Seems like this was before 'code shares' as we see today, so I actually think it was operated as a PA flight, but with AA
crew (again...sorry can't remember which). I just remember being young and so excited
Now I'm starting to doubt myself, but I just remember being you and excited that 1) it was a PanAm 707, and 2) to have one flight with that many takeoffs/landings.
Am I losing it or does anyone else remember this milk run???
