First SN A330 In New Colours

Fri May 12, 2006 7:08 am

Just came across this on a Belgian aviation forum:

Looks nice!

It does look better on the A319. IMO the orange colour shouldn't be on that livery at all . Anyway aren't they due to reveal a new livery soon?

Definitely an improvement... but am I the only one that thinks that, on the A330, the underbelly colour should be extended right to the front?

Hi!

I think this livery "rocks" and to me it's get's to the point, and that is...reminds me of SABENA! And I like that...even when people say it's SN Brussels Airlines, it will always be SABENA for me!

Am I the only one to notice that the title are not italic any longer? I really think that they will just become Brussels Airlines and will drop the SN part on the fuselage, although it will remain on all tickets. Small change (not livery change) and not very expensive nor confusing for customers.
I want the European Union flag on airliners.net!

Ever since the 'baby blue belley' livery was introduced more than 3 years ago, the titles have always been non-italic...

Indeed, the name of the newco after the merger with Virgin Express will most certainly be just "Brussels Airlines" indeed, with SN (IATA code 082) as identifier.

Nice !

I'm so glad they didn't erase the "S" from the winglets !
They should put it on the A319 too, or even better, the "Magritte pigeon".

Well, I even heard from a good source that it's possible the Ess-tail will dissapear...
Though I don't think that's a good idea.
The "S" is a brand that has been known for ages and even the airline callsign is "Ess-tail".

I like it a lot...it's very retro. Are my eyes deceiving me or is the bottom front of the aircraft not completely painted? Did they run out of money? LOL

Sorry guys & girls but what's new here? Looks like a normal SNBA A330 to me. Where's the new scheme?

SN's current look sure beats eurowhite. Now time to find another color for the belly, and why does it have to end up abruptly in the front instead of say.. tapering off?

By the way, I heard through the grapevine the new scheme is gonna look like the new Gummi-bears TAP Portugal! Big grin

Thanks Planehunter, I don't get to see those here across the pond.

So it looks better in the older colors, (more old school) with the orange stripe above the windows and without the ugly baby blue.

Sorry I expected better. The whole is still a mess and 'over'designed with the ex-Sabena 'S' sign, bended surfaces, an orange line, baby blue stop at the front. Still the addition 'SN' (I expected just 'Brussels' or 'Brussels Airlines'). The livery shouts: Help, where do I have to look? No, not an improvement. Pitty, very pitty.

I don't understand what people were expecting...
It's just been painted in the standard SN Brussels livery.
What did you expect ? A red one to celebrate the merger with VEX ?

Still looks like crap with that half-assed blue underside. And it ends at the first window because.......?
