Will Dragonair Fly To LHR And SYD Soon?

Fri May 12, 2006 11:50 am

Dragonair had a press release sometime ago that they will soon fly to SYD with their own aircraft. Also they had plans to fly to LHR.

What happened to such plans? Are they still on? If yes when will service commence?

They decided not to fly to SYD or LHR with own aircraft, or anyone elses'.

The spare A330 (from not flying to SYD) has been wetleased to Air China

Doubt it - I think that when they ran the numbers they realised they couldn't make a profit, so why bother...?

Not since VS introduced services, which resulted in CX going 3 per day practically overnight.

The sector is over capacity, especially now that QF is carrying its China traffic on direct Beijing and Shanghai services, which has resulted in additional HKG-SYD seat capacity.

As for London, I think the proposed Oasis Hong Hong flights to Gatwick means they have missed the boat.

They only have A333s and i'm almost certain it wont do LHR-HKG year round non-stop without a load penalty - so will have to be a stopper, and given the competition, i cant see that working.
What do you mean you dont have any bourbon? Do you know how far it is to Houston? What kind of airline is this???

United Airlines, Your always asking questions that you should know. KA quit the idea of Sydney after all the talks of CX taking them over, as for LHR.... they never even mentioned it.
Bush, your a sad, sad man.
