Checking SEA - TPA return in November. The flights that leave after 2200 in First Class have 'food for purchase' listed as the meal. WHY????????????????
Quoting FlyDreamliner (Reply 2):
At this point, AA is almost always as cheap as NW, and offers modestly better service, and UA (recently atleast) and CO are worlds better - both coach and first.
Quoting Aerofan (Reply 1):
well u are being asked to purchase more and more stuff. why not? airlines plan to make us lucky that they are not charging for oxygen and bathroom breaks!
Quoting Bicoastal (Reply 5):
Most airlines offer minimal service on red-eyes from west to east coast. Most people want to sleep at that hour and not dine....even in first.
Quoting Monkeyboi (Reply 11):
Whether you like airline food or not. Or a hungry or not. If travelling in First Class you still expect to at least have the option to accept or decline.
Quoting FURUREFA (Reply 12):
Not if you are getting first class for the price of coach! Half to 1/3 (more or less depending on time of day, route, etc.) of the cabin are upgrades which these peoples get free or for as little as $50 over coach tickets. I am not saying this is bad because I benifit, but what do you expect?
Quoting NWBOS (Reply 13):
Those that aren't paying first class often are getting offered the promotional upgrades from the check-in kiosk for as little as $30 per segment (on NW anyhow).
Quoting NWBOS (Reply 13):
for as little as $30 per segment (on NW anyhow). I don't see how the airline should be expected to offer so much service for that price.
Quoting B4real (Reply 16):
Depends on the configuration of the a/c. All CO widebody a/c have powerports in BizF and part of economy.
Quoting GSPSPOT (Reply 18):
Either way, it's a carrot the airlines uses to keep flyers loyal
Quoting FlyABR (Reply 23):
r u sure you were on NW??
