is competing in transit business, the Finnish markets alone would be too small. Without all those transit passengers HEL
would be like OSL
, with rather few intercontinental routes.
I only hope there would be more connections from HEL
to Northern-America (as there used to be, to the west coast), perhaps sometimes in future when AY
is less busy in Asia.
It would be great to see companies like CO
Thanks to the Asia hub in HEL
, there are also more non stop connections from HEL
to European destinations as it would be otherwise. And in Europe Finnair really needs to compete hard, maybe that's why their product in Europe is better (very good actually) compairing to their intercontinental product. Perhaps the new wide bodies change the picture.
