Unfortunately, I was not there spotting today but the plane did land close to its scheduled time of arrival (11:10). But then was on the ground until 19:05. Now it is enroute to Narita, scheduled to arrive at 19:00 local time.
I remember something like this happening when they used to bring in their classics. I think something happened to JA8163 that departed around a similar time.
Today, the bird was JA8088.
In the past, some JL birds have been faced with problems upon push-back. JA8086 got stuck when and Globe Ground had to call ground frequency, and on another occasion, JA8089 faced some problems (I am not sure about the reg of this one). But on both occasions, the pilot left directly for Narita and I think some inspections were carried out there (because the bird flying into YVR the next day always got re-scheduled).
So, does anyone know what happened today?
