Since a FSD - EWR is very unlikely to happen anytime soon, FSD-ATL is going to be a great option for those wishing to skip MSP, ORD or DEN when flying to/from FSD.

When this service starts, I think that North Dakota will be the only state without service to ATL. This is a long flight on a CRJ.

Wow, I figured this would replace FSD-CVG, but it's an addition. The times aren't the best for business travelers in either direction but hey, I'm sure FSD will take it. What's interesting is FSD had no flights to any DL hubs in 2004 and now they will have three in August. FSD-CVG was added in '05 as a SCASD grant, and DL announced SLC-FSD a couple months ago.

They announced service to Delaware from ATL about a month ago.

Well, the arrival at ATL is pretty much timed to connect to the Euro flights, which certainly isn't bad. Of course, from ATL the schedule doesn't sound too promising.

How many cities is this served from ATL now on Delta?

One daily, seasonal flight on a CRJ.

I'm not seeing seasonal, this looks like a daily year round service.

Guess it's not too suprising that this is being started, FSD was I think one of the last 3 CVG markets that did not have ATL service. the other two are HTS and SCE (Huntington WV and Satte College PA) I am wondering how long it will be before those cities get ATL service as well.

I think this will be a good route for FSD. I am surprised with FSD being sort of a strong "heartland" market for NW that NW hasn't served FSD via their MEM hub but I suppose they could code share with DL on the ATL route.

Hmmm..... could Delta be trying to move into the Midwest? Added service to DSM, FSD, FAR...etc.
'Cause you're on ATA again, and on ATA, you're on vacation!

I think this is destination number 229. Very impressive!

I'm going to guess never for HTS since ATL was replaced by CVG entirely.

Next they have to hit up Wisconsin...They are welcome in CWA. All we have are TOO MANY Red tails, a couple UAs and a few YX.
