AA 738 At DAL Today?

Thu May 18, 2006 2:16 am

I saw what appeared to be an AA 738 on approach to DAL today (could have been a 757, but doubtful). I know AA's DAL-MCI and DAL-STL flights are operated on MD-80s, so was this a diversion, charter, or replacement?

Just curious to see if anyone has insight.
"Lose" is not spelled with two o's!!!!

Ssides, I really do not want to say this but most likely has to do with noise signature for more fodder for the WA "stuff" going on down at big "D".

It could be a revenue flight but only because of repositioning equipment.

What we know it isn't
AA trying to figure how to turn a 737 in 25 min at DAL.
AA dropping by the WN hangers for Mx.

I don't either, nor do I see any BBJs at DAL or ADS (both on south flows today).

Maybe this guy?

It's pretty easy to mistake a flight going into DFW as going into DAL, they are only 8 miles apart.

(not saying you made that error, just presenting it as a possibility).

Where did you see it?

You made me think of something funny my Dad said with that comment you made. He thinks they should bring some 727s out of retirement to operate the Love Field flights. Now that would be pretty funny! I know this wouldn't happen but I'm sure those noisy, beautiful machines would help resolve the Wright issue a bit faster Smile.

Could have been on the "Stadium Visual RWY31R" to DFW. That parallels the finals to DAL
I don't understand everything I don't know about this.
