They were used quite often at the old IAB
before the new T4
was opened. There just weren't enough gates during the afternoon rush of arrivals from Europe. However, I (thankfully) haven't had to use one in years, so I guess the combination of the new T1 and T4
have solved this problem for the most part. I remember Pan Am used to use them at T3
too, but from my recent experiences Delta almost always parks at jetways there, even if it means waiting on the taxiway for a while after landing during busy times (grrr).
