Plane Strikes Police Car

Wed May 24, 2006 9:35 am

A Piper struck a police car at Lansing Municipal Airport, just outside of Chicago. Article says they are not sure why the police car was out near the taxiway, but it sounds like the Piper might have taken a corner too sharp and clipped the squad car. The link has a picture and it does not look too bad...not sure why it is labeled as "Breaking News". Guess it was a slow news day here in Chicago.  Smile

Imagine that. Finally a cop, impeding the smooth operation of the airport which pays their salary, gets smacked by an airplane, in its "natural habitat." Defend the perimeter of the airport, fine. But the runways and taxiways belong to AIRPLANES.
