I am typing this message from Northwest beautiful Narita WorldClub, which in the past few months was further improved with free wifi service. NW is also adding free wifi to most of thier other WorldClubs. I arrived here from GUM, where Continental's Presidents Club also provides wifi free of charge. Although I forget the details, CO has even gone to court to defend their free wifi service. Sadly, Delta Crown Rooms only provide access to T-Mobile hot spots, which are anything but free. Does DL get kickbacks from T-Mobile or what? Given that they charge just as much as NW & CO for membership, it is rather low of them to require thier members to purchase a $10.00 daypass or get a $30.00 per month plan.
What is the current status of wifi in other major airline clubs, is it free or do you need to pay? Does anyone else agree that DL needs to tell T-Mobile to shove it, and install their own wifi? A $70 dollar access point, and about $50 a month for DSL or cable would be all that was needed for most clubs.
