Paris Airports :

Which Parisian airport is the best for low-fare flights to Tunisia ? I mean both hubs, CDG and ORY, and small aerodromes  Wink

Airport should be able to handle a CRJ or an Embraer 170 at least  Wink

I am not sure if you are looking for a flight to Tunisia or asking from which airport an LCC should operate a future service to Tunisia. If the latter then please note that Ryanair, Wizzair, Norwegian Air Shuttle and Flyme all operate into what they call 'Paris Beauvais' which I assume is a much lower cost airport that CDG or ORY. However easyJet operates into ORY.

I know all that and i thank you W701  Wink What led me to ask that question is that Neos Spa is having a Toussus le Noble - Monastir flight. AFAIK, Neos has only B738s whereas Toussus aerodrome, 15km from downtown Paris, near Versailles, has a short runway of 1100m ?! Also the terminal and the facilities are at their strict minimum !!!

The perfect airport would be le Bourget ...
But there is understanding that no sheduled flights would use le Bourget -which is a pity, since it's close to the city.
Beauvais is great for passengers living the north-side of Paris but a night-mare for people living south of the Capital.ORY would be my best bet for any fiurther Low-Cost expansion, since the feed-back from airlines using Beauvais is far from convincing.

And why not Beauvais??

The airport is well prepared to take some low cost airlines as Ryanair flights demonstrate.

Because Beauvais is not even remotely close to Paris and it is shameful that Ryanair have the audacity to sell tickets to "Paris" instead of "Beauvais". Would you fly CDG to Bristol and then take the train to London and say to yourself, "What a good value London flight"?
When all's said and done, there'll be more said than done.

Note that Norwegian only operate to Paris Beauvais from Bergen, Norway (BGO), but using Paris Orly for their main service to Oslo, Norway.

it's the same like Frankfurt and Frankfurt-Hahn Big grin The city of Hahn has nothing together with the metropole of Frankfurt, but Ryanair call the airport Frankfurt-Hahn although there are more than 130km between each cities  Smile
I agree with Beaucaire. Le Bourget would be the best airport in my eyes too.

Thinking of Beauvais, I keep getting PAX with ticket out of Beauvais that wants us to check their bag through their final destination.
They still don t understand that cdg and Beauvais are 2 different airport and that we can t do it.
Or how surprise to find out that beavais is far away from CDG and that they will need to take the bus or taxi to go there with a 1H30 connections.

A few years ago, there as been a flight between Pontoise and London. I don't remember if it was a BAE146 or a 737.
But could be a better alternative than Toussus
