RE: FAA May Have Accepted Alaska's Maintenance Plan

In my personal opinion, Alaska airlines has already received a fatal wound with the exposure of poor maintenance and management procedures. Alaska most certainly could have survived with just the crash; however, with everything that has already been said, Alaska's days are numbered. The first thing to go in a troubled airline is maintenance, which is the one thing that passengers do not see. The FAA may accept their proposals, but I don't think the traveling public will find any comfort in whatever they do now or in the future. The damage has already been done.
Aviation is proof that, given the will, we have the capacity to achieve the impossible.
