Ryan International Airlines At TOL

Wed May 31, 2006 1:33 am

Just saw a Ryan 757 arriving at TOL. I looked up the flight on FlightAware and it came from Rockford. Anybody have any idea why it is in TOL?

Be aware that this is not the LCC, "RyanAir," from Europe.

I don't think his post suggested in was the Dublin based airline. First he had the name correct, second they don't fly 757's, third why would they be in the US other than from a Boeing facility. He was simply asking the reason for the flight.

I have no specific information for the flight, but I would imagine that its a repositioning flight for a charter.

DTW757....I think it was the regularly scheduled illegals charter (simply because I can't find the outbound flight and I know it's not on the ground still). Usually they fly the illegal immigrants back on 738s but today they must have brought in a 757 as a sub. They do it every Tuesday mid to late morning.

Wow! Thanks Flyinryan. I had no idea there was such an operation going on at TOL. I see the 737 quite often. Sounds like they are really rounding up illegals to be able to bring a plane in that large to fly them back weekly.
