FL Restarting GPT-TPA And GPT-FLL

Wed May 31, 2006 10:49 am

According to Airtran's website, starting 7-6-06 TPA-GPT-TPA will be reinstated. Also starting 8-29-06, FLL-GPT-FLL will also return. I am assuming these flights are returning because of the reopening of The Beau Rivage in late August. FL's route map only has TPA-GPT loaded, but both routes are bookable.

I've heard GPT-MDW might be in the works for FL as well.
I work for Southwest, but the views expressed are my own and do not necessarily represent those of Southwest.

Good news for the region in general. Nice to see some things slowly getting back to normal.

That would be great if it were to happen. I just highly doubt it will. I would really like to be proven wrong though.
Although if big brothers Beau Rivage and Grand Casino say they want a MDW flight then I'm sure they'll get it.

AirTran announced Wednesday it will restore nonstop service to two Florida destinations between now and the one-year anniversary of the hurricane that socked South Mississippi, which will raise the available seats to 114 percent of its pre-Katrina levels
