Effective 25th June 2006 - LAM Linhas Aereas de Moçambique-
Flights will be operated on WED and SUN.
LAM has also been codesharing on Kenya Airways bi-weekly flights between Maputo and Nairobi via Harare which were introduced last october (2005).
Hence now we find 4 weekly flights between Maputo and Nairobi, All the four flights being codeshare flights - 2X operated by TM and 2X operated by KQ.
I wish KQ and TM all the best.
A little more about LAM and Mozambique....
LAM - currently serves a dozen of domestic destinations within Mozambique and its regional network extends to Johannesburg (South Africa), Durban (South Africa), Harare (Zimbabwe), Dar Es Salaam (Tanzania) and now Nairobi (Kenya). It also codeshares on flights to Lisbon (I am not sure about now, as to what has happened!)
Mozambique the beautiful country is trying its bests and is on a fast track to make its name as one of the best tourism places in the World. It has alot to offer including game parks and beaches.
LAM's also plans to open up and link new routes with its Northern tourism heaven of Pemba. In 2002 they started flights between Pemba and Dar es Salaam, and then JNB and Pemba. Now they are to link NBO and POL.
I wish them all the best.
In Mozambique there are quite some beautiful resorts many owned by europeans including-
bush camp in Niassa wildlife park -- http://www.raniresorts.com/resorts/lugenda.php
