Great news, proves many people wrong. I loved all of those B6 vs CO posts and that was the big excuse for CO fans. Though it is only one, at least they are bringing it back and I am sure it will grow back up to 2 by later this year to next year.

YES! I remember that battle here on a.net the day that B6 announced it was pulling EWR-TPA (for the summer), and everyone thought this was "proof" that B6 was doing badly at EWR and CO was "chasing them out". It looks like that's not the situation, but instead this market is seasonal and is big enough for two airlines to serve.

Anyway, it's nice to see that B6 is looking to make EWR work.

Did you read the news blurb before posting, guys?

They sure as heck had pulled out of this route ENTIRELY (thus those of us who said they were pulling out were RIGHT), but have now decided to return ONE flight because they fear that they can't convince customers to drive to JFK to fly B6. In other words, they were going to fly CO instead.

So B6 will try again to pull pax from CO, but this time, with 1 flight a day. They will likely fill this plane, but whether they can do it profitably, who knows?

We'll see if it sticks. But it seems more like the once daily SYR-MCO flight at this point vs. establishing a strong foothold at EWR to give CO a run for it's money.

Calling this proof that EWR is going as planned for B6 is drinking blue juice. Hopefully this winter will be better and they will be able to really expand at EWR. But right now, they are flying fewer flights than they have in the past at the same time they are trying to establish a new focus airport...
Of all the things to worry about... the Wookie has no pants.
