Why No LS MAN-PRG?

Fri Jun 02, 2006 4:23 am

Why hasnt Jet2.com launched MAN-PRG flights, with the recently announced BLK-PRG routes i would have thought the MAN-PRG route may be an option to Jet2. Is it because OK & WW have the route pretty much covered with 3/4 daily flights between them? Plus also with GSM announcing LPL-PRG for the winter, is there a chance of easyJet taking over the route if it appears to be profitable.

Yes.

They wont 'take it over'. They might attempt to compete and force GSM off the route. What GSM would do I dont know. For example EZY forced them off STN-GVA but hasn't forced them off EDI-GVA. One thing is for certain, GSM dont seem afraid to compete with other, far larger, airlines and dont seem affraid to 'invade their teritory'
