Only QF with 31"... and it wasn't all that much fun on a 12 hour sector SYD-LAX. Aer Lingus with 32" on the LAX-DUB (similar time) felt nicer...
I do quite enjoy a spot of flying - more so when it's not in Economy!

29 in ?? Is that even legal under the European Human Rights Charter ?  Wink
BTW, no I have not and being 194 cm I would always be willing to pay extra to fly on a scheduled carrier with a "regular" set pitch of 31/32 in.

Since I know how miserable I felt after 10 1/2 hours on LH with 31", I simply would not even consider flying on anything with even less space. I don't mind saving money, but 29" is something I'd consider a waste of money for anything above 2 or, at most, 3 hours... I'd prefer not flying at all instead of in something that tight.

I would call it criminal assault!  Big grin  bomb
Which airline provides such a less comfortable way of fly?

I am nearly 6'4'' tall and I flew BA from LHR to HKG on a 744. I was in WT on a full flight, even with the aisle seat it was hell.

What's the MP economy pitch? It feels very narrow! I'm sure it's 29"or less. I've flown them on the 10 plus hours flight AMS-PMV and AMS-MIA.
But a cocktail of Panadol, Voltaren and Valium takes good care of me!
I wish that all skies were orange and blue!!

I´ve done FRA-SFO-FRA on LH numerous times in Y-Class. They claim the pitch to be 31" but I´m not sure if that´s entirely correct, at least on the 744 where SQ´s 32" just seem to be so much more.
29" must be horrible especially when it is taken into account that many charter airlines add another seat per row (3-3-3 on an Airbus...ugh). I would not pay money for spending 10+ hours in hell...

Corsair have 29" and will fly from Stockholm to Bangkok & Phuket
coming winter and i just seen a ad from the touroperator: "Fly with
boeing 747-400 and get a lot more room for your legs than other airlines..."
Yes, if you pay for the few seats that have that but 95 % will get 29" anyway...

Can anyone say Economy Plus?! I've done OZ's SEL-LAX (12.5 there, 13.5 on the return) in Y class which is supposedly about 31-32".

Air Transat was a hell! 9 hours flight from AMS to YVR, 9 abreast seating in an A330-200 and a terrible seatpitch

I just flew on Ryanair for close to 3 hours yesterday from Pisa to Dublin and there is NO RECLINE!!! On a side note, to stay on topic, I would'nt be able to fly for over 10 hours in 29" pitch!

Now you have a choice of getting killed either by deep vein thrombosis during the flight, or a tsunami during your stay.

Would sound like an attractive business proposition if it were not for the lack of repeat customers  Wink

Seriously, I find it extremely hard to believe than anyone would purchase a ticket on such a flight knowing how tiny the seat pitch is.

And Finnair has 32" pitch in economy. More room indeed...

My Travel Airways fly their A330s with 29 inch pitch, 9-abreast seating, from Scandinavia to Thailand several times a week and all flights are packed to the rafters... so it can't be all that bad either...

Air Transat A330-200s are pure hell. The seats are super narrow, and the pitch sucks. Anyone know the pitch of these seats?

God save me. . . I'm 6'7 or 2m.

I always maintain Medalion status with DL so I can have a chance at the longer seats!

Upgrades always appreciated.

I flew BA from SEA to LHR (9.5 hours). I don't know if it was 29 inch seat pitch but it was the smallest seat pitch I've ever had. We were in the middle and when something would drop of my tray, there was no room to pick it up  boggled

NW feels like 29' pitch on LAX-NRT that I use to fly often.

It reclines like the domestic version.

Remember, pitch does not equal legroom, but only contributes to it. Thickness and shape of seatbacks and shape of footwells also contribute to the feeling of comfort.

It is 31 inches.

I flew MLE to LGW on Monarch on an A332 and that was 29in, just under 12 hours because of strong headwinds. I would never do such a trip with them again ever.
