Extra Airways

Tue Jun 06, 2006 5:54 am

Hello all...

First, my apologies if this has already been discussed. I swear I did a search and could not find anything.

I was passing through Albuquerque last week and there was a green, blue and white 737 parked at a gate with what appeared to be the name "Extra Airways" painted on it.

Several of my fellow commuting flight attendants saw it and none of us had ever heard of them before.

I am assuming it is a charter, but I couldn't find any info about them anywhere.

Anyone care to share what they know?

And again....I DID do a search.
The opinions expressed are my own and do not necessarily reflect those of Southwest Airlines.

Hey,

There is no Green but it may be an Excel B737:

Actually ,new name for Casino Express. Its is now Xtra Airways, a part of the Excel USA group, which is part of the whole Excel group.

Among other things, they operate gambling trips to Wendover,UT (ENV) for group of three casinos there.

That aircraft G-XLAG has now returned to the UK, and has been fitted with winglets flying back for Excel. Was operating out of MAN today

Good ol' Xtra Airways....

They're the former Casino Express.
They did have a seasonal base in BOS and were flying charters to the islands. They have crew bases in ENV/SDF/CVG.

I hope they do well.
