FORT LAUDERDALE -- A small plane skidded off a runway and into the grass at Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport on Tuesday morning, news partner NBC 6 reported.

Airport spokesman Ted Lawson said the 19 passenger jet was about to take off around 8 a.m. when it veered off the runway because of a problem with the steering or braking mechanisms.

(And no, it wasn't a "jet" as the article states. It was N247ML, an SA226TC Metro II as seen here):

"About the only way to look at it, just a pity you are not POTUS KFLLCFII, seems as if we would all be better off."
