AF Petroleum Club

Wed Jun 07, 2006 8:19 am

Is anyone a member or know of anyone who is? A relative of mine who works for Chevron is thinking of joining. Just curious to hear what the Club is like and the amenities that are given to a member.

I always thought this was a great service when i was with AF. Why not provide an extra service to the people who provide us with our fuel.

I think you should sign up for it, a few extra perks is great.

I'm surprised that there's even a golf tournament for members of AF's Petroleum Club:

On 25 June 2005, in La Baule (France), the final of the 2005 Golf Petroleum Club Trophy brought together the winners of the pre-selection trials held in various countries during the season. This top-level competition united the Petroleum Club's ten best players in the Golf International Hotel in La Baule.
They enjoyed a personal reception from the Air France teams during their trip. Caroline Portello, the manager of the Petroleum Club's Marketing Department, accompanied the players during the entire weekend.
The competition was won by a combined team from the Italian and African markets, and was followed by a convivial dinner in La Baule for both participants and organisers.
The keyword for this event was "Blue": the relaxing events and exchanges took place in the open air, cocktails were drunk and prizes awarded by the edge of the swimming pool, and dinner was eaten on the seafront...

Dedication to Laurent Lemée Manager of ITCC-Tropic Golf,
Laurent was a partner of the UTA and the Petroleum Club Air France in Africa and the Middle East for over 20 years. The purpose of this partnership was to organise golf and tennis tournaments on behalf of the UTA and Air France but also, for the last 3 years, the final of the Petroleum Club Trophy in France. Our Petrol clientele, especially in Luanda, Pointe Noire and in Nigeria, also knew him personally. Air France wanted to dedicate this final message to him.
