Sorry I only have exterior pictures for now. I will try to get interior ones next.

Enjoy!

7 Temporary Gates in the distance

Exsisting Terminal 6 Passenger Pickup via Shuttle. The shuttle takes about 1-2 minutes to get to the temporary gates tops!

Well it is better than nothing at all while they do some construction magic in order to get that old terminal reuseable again.

By the way are these only going to be used for Embraer flights? It looks like there are only the smaller planes in those pictures.

There are two A320's and one E190 at the T5 temporary terminal.

I am pretty sure that they operate 14 E190's.

reminds me of the MDW "temporary" gates (A4A or something around there)...but i guess MDW made them "permanent."

I flew RIC - JFK on Monday and my flight arrived at gate 21. At first glance, the terminals exterior appeared shabby but once I deplaned the interior wasn't as bad as I thought. It does however have a bus station feel and look. There were A-320 flts to Nassau and Oakland boarding a few gates down. The E-190 I got off of did an afternoon turn to AUS. The one real complaint I have is way the buses drop off and pick up passengers at terminal six. It would make the operation run alot more smoothly if they let the arriving passengers off first and drive up a little further to pickup departing passengers, rather than have all passengers at the same stop causing a mob scene. But the temporary terminal is not bad is not a bad idea for the time being.

I didn't realize that construction on the new Terminal 5 had already gone vertical. Good to see things move along at JFK, since B6 is definitely ready for their new terminal. In the meantime these temporary gates should help ease the strain.

The Temp gates look great but I want to see inside! Lol

I didn't know either that T5 is starting to be built up. Can't wait until 2008!

Wow, and I thought that the G gates at IAD were bad.

That is a good suggestion. You should enter that on our website in the "Speak Up" area. Obviously it is a very new operation and all the feedback we can get would be beneficial.
