Brazilian BRA To Fly GRU-GIG-MAD & GIG-GRU-LIS

Thu Jun 08, 2006 1:00 pm

BRA for who don't know it's the meaning of "Brasil Rodo Aereo (Air Road Brazil)", the charter company that become regular last year.

At the same time they obtained with Brazilian DOT (CERNAI and nowadays ANAC), 10 weekly frequencies Brazil-Spain and 7 weekly frequencies Brazil-Portugal.

This week they announced the beginning of their regular services to Lisbon and Madrid (BRA use to fly LIS as charter).

The flights will begin as a single weekly frequency:

BRA 7550 - Fridays - GIG 1715 GRU 1815 2015 LIS 0900 1110 MAD 1300
BRA 7551 - Saturdays - LIS 1110 MAD 1300 1410 GRU 2005 2120 GIG 2220

BRA 7552 - Saturdays - GRU 2120 GIG 2220 2320 MAD 1435 1535 LIS 1520
BRA 7553 - Monday - LIS 1400 MAD 1555 1655 GIG 2155 2245 GRU 2345

(sunday - charters)

Note that they will start one flight while another is being operated.

Prices are not bad, US$ 850 for a RT on peak season (even for july), and the flight is bookable at http://www.voebra.com.br

Their B763 keep 12C and 262Y ! Another 767, this time a 762 (ex-Twa and Delta) is expected to join the fleet very soon.

Early to say it's a new player on the Brazil-Europe market, but they have a lot of space to grow. I don't have any info on their service as well as about quality.

New York + Rio de Janeiro = One of the best combinations !

Oi Felipe, como vai?
So they arrive in MAD from Brasil via LIS at 1300 and they will only allow 70 minutes ground time before the flight returns to GRU? It sounds like a problem waiting to happen!
