AA Adds Mainline Back On LAX-LAS

Thu Jun 08, 2006 4:22 pm

I guess this is to accomodate the demand from NRT connections. AA will now have 2 noon departures to LAS. One Eagle and one mainline(up to 5 flights from 4 as of Oct 29).

Sked:

AA 784 LAX-LAS 12:00 PM 1:10 PM * New flight
AE 3103 LAX-LAS 12:16 PM 1:16 PM

It will still be four daily flights. The Eagle flight will be pulled.

Actually on AA's schedule it shows both the AA and AE well into the end of 2006. Could it be they simply need the extra seats to accomodate more conx passengers since SJC-NRT is being dropped? Let's see what AA does....

I think he meant that the new schedule that comes out on Saturday is when the eagle flight will be pulled. Also they are adding more seats in the market, the mainline flight that replaces the eagle flight.

No, the the American Eagle is being discontinued. When the AA mainline flight was uploaded this past weekend, the Eagle flight simply was not taken out. Simple error that happens all the time. Will be fixed this weekend or next.

Is it a 757 or S80? Anyone know? They were 757s before it all went to Eagle in April or whenever it was.
See, I knew American Eagle was first class all along!

it's mainline right now, maybe they will change it to AE/Jungle-Jet once they pull their SJC-NRT flight off in October...

JL's LAS-LAX-NRT flights are ending. Most other carriers connect through LAX or SFO.

You know, back in the late 80s and early 90s, AA ran a 767 from LAS to LAX.
I believe it was flights 31 and 32, and they went LAS-LAX-HNL-LAX-LAS.
Pretty hard to imagine this day in age!

ERJ's LAS-LAX is pretty sad. It's one of the largest O&D markets in the nation. What's next, American Eagle Saabs and Air Midwest Beeches?

Well, it's better than having all ERJs on the route. And it goes up to 5x daily from 4x including 1 MD-80 noon departure. Is this the most flights we've seen on this route (regardless of number of seats) by AA?
