PAN Am Craf Fleet

Thu Jun 08, 2006 10:19 pm

I seem to remember that PA had several of their aircraft converted as part of the CRAF program whereby a Side cargo door was fitted along with a strengthened floor to allow military equipment to be loaded should it be required. I know the CRAF is still going and Airlines have their aircraft available for use by the US DOD when required at charter rates agreed at board level. My questionis what ever happened to the PA aircraft which underwent this conversion. Are they still flying under different colours or have they been scrapped? I apologise if this should be entered into the Military forum but as the aircraft were operated under civilian colours I thought I would start here.
I'm lucky my job is my hobby

I would think they are long gone. PA's 747's were dash 100 I believe.
