|Quoting Pe@rson (Thread starter):
Virgin Express flies BRU-ATH 10-times-weekly; BRU-BCN 3x daily; BRU-GVA 13-times-weekly; BRU-LIS 2x daily; BRU-MAD 20x weekly; BRU-AGP 20x weekly; BRU-BGY 12x weekly; BRU-NCE 23x weekly; BRU-FCO 11x weekly; BRU-VCE 1x daily. How are they performing? A few years ago, I flew LHR-BRU-LIN-BRU-LIN with Virgin Express.
Well I don't know about individual flights nor destinations, but their overall load factor across their network is reported to be at 80%.
Anyway, it has no real importance anymore, since Virgin Express has been taken over by SN
and will cease to exist as an independant airline by summer next year!
Therefor their network is undergoing many changes in preparation of the merger on an almost weekly basis.
Some of their routes have been dropped (TLN
) to avoid competing with SN
) and others will certainly follow...
They've moved from LIN
to make the SN
flights to MXP
more attractive for business travellers.
They've changed their schedules to GVA
Furthermore, VEX is also selling last minute low fare tickets to many European destinations of SN
. On MAD
for instance, VEX not only flies there itself, they also sell tickets on selected SN
flights, but they also sell tickets to a whole list of European destinations which are pure SN
destinations (like VCE
for instance) to help fill the SN
planes during quiet periods.
On the other hand, some VEX flights are operated by SN
planes when loads do not justify the use of a 737: NAP
or PMO for instance.
Hope this helps.
