Mon Jun 12, 2006 12:37 am

I didn't know that Angola Airlines had a 747. Can someone tell me the history of this plane.

On a side note, They are suppose to take delivery of their first B777-200ER sometime in July or August of this year. Does anyone know if photos are available?

I believe it was an ex Singapore Airlines aircraft.

D2-TEB is ex-Swissair, D2-TEA ex SIA. The third 747-300 was shortly leased from SAA in 2004 and never wore the beautiful TAAG livery.

Those are 74D (B743 Combis), right? They will leave the fleet with the arrival of the 2 B777-200ER.

Does anybody have pictures of the interior of these aircraft and has anybody ever experienced service on board their planes???

Who are all those men standing in front of the plane?

I recently diverted to LAD and the Angola 747 was sat next to us and I have to say I have never seen so many people coming on and getting off a plane or standing around looking at it and they were not passengers. It looked like one very busy 747!!!

I have to say I would love to experience this type of flight.

Old School indeed... I was thisclose to needing to go to LAD for business last week on VERY short notice and couldn't find a decent connection through LHR. DFW-GRU-LAD it was to be. Fortunately, I didn't have to go.

I paid a visit to the TAAG 743 in CDG once. It was kinda cool. It was the former SQ plane still with the SQ interior. It had some cool paintings on the bulkheads. Very cool!

Probably you would fly thru GIG as TAAG runs only GIG-LAD 2x weekly.
