UA 777 Fleet

Tue Jun 13, 2006 2:18 am

I noticed today that Varig and other airlines have former UA 777 models...well for a few days anyway in Varig' case...have these been trimmed back from UA after the recent post 9/11 downsizing and chaper 11?

What is UA's current 777 fleet in numbers, and what was the maximum they reached? Or are these models that were originally leased and replaced with new purchased planes?

52 currently; 19 200's and 33 200ER's  Smile

Air India took 4 222ER's from UA
- VT-AIJ (ex. N790UA)
- VT-AIK (ex. N205UA)
- VT-AIL (ex. N789UA)
- VT-AIR (ex. N766UA)

Varig also took 4 222ER's from UA
- PP-VRE (ex. N207UA) Stored at JFK
- PP-VRF (ex. N208UA) Stored at GIG
- PP-VRI (ex. N767UA)
- PP-VRJ (ex. N770UA)

The above data suggests that UA had 60 777-200ER's; 19 200's and 41 200ER's all of which powered by PW's  Smile
