At POS, Piarco International, the terminal has a Waving Gallery which overlooks the western ramp area. A finger pier bocks the view of the eastern ramp but that can be seen from the public carparks. Both are great places to spot planes but the flagpoles in the vicinity of the Waving Gallery obstruct the view from a photographic perspective. I have never attempted to film planes from either point.
The access road runs to the west of the airport and directly under the approach; the adjacent canefields and road verges thus make good spotting areas. No Parking signs line the road, however. Along the eastern end of the runway the road runs south and parallel to it; the tall fence is a problem for pictures but I once filmed an AN-124 taking off from there.
With a new terminal due to open later this year I do not know what sort of view would be had from the waving gallery there.
