Flights To Europe - Summer Vs Winter

Thu Jun 15, 2006 1:31 am

I live in central New England, and by good fortune have a clear enough view of the south that I can watch many airliners flying to Europe flying overhead.

In the Fall, Winter, and Spring, it seems there are quite a few flights that pass over about southern New England around 6:30 till about 8:00. But during the Summer, eastbound flights seem to be much fewer. During the summer do airlines use different routing?
