How Boeing Did With The 744 EIS Delay?

Thu Jun 15, 2006 3:47 am

Would like this thread be serious , please no A vs B war !!!

We all know the A380 will experience another delay , and as far as i can remember , Boeing experienced the same problem with the 744 EIS.
How long was this delay ?
How Boeing did with the customers ? Any compensations ? Any interim plane solutions ?
Perhaps as that time customers were not so difficult as they are now .........but money is money !

Although there were teething problems with the 744, it was only for a few weeks. Not the very serious delays the A380 program is unfortunately encountering.
I'm not a real aeronautical engineer, I just play one on Airliners.net.

Quoting FCKC (Thread starter):

FCKC, I can imagine that a few A.netters who are in fear of loosing their family income may have no understanding whatsoever for your lousy attempt to put this unexcusable management foul-up into perspective.

744 was last century. If Airbus was still comparing to that level, there'd be no hope.
