What Aircraft Will I Be Flying?

Sat Jun 17, 2006 11:46 pm

Hello all.

I hope that somebody is able to help me out on this one.

I've booked a ticket with SAS from CPH to VNO.

On the ticket it says, that the flight is operated by Air Baltic. The outbound trip is with SK9662 on the 21st of June 2006 at 09.45 and the return flight is SK9674 on the 25th of June at 12.50

I know that Air Baltic operates 737-500 (ex. SAS i beleive), Fokker 50, and Avro out of CPH.

So my question is, can anyone of you guys tell me, what equipment they will be using on my flights ?

Is there a homepage that gathers all this information.

Previously when i travelled with AF, the equipment is shown on the ticket, by obviuosly not here.

I hope one of you guys can helpme out.

Best regards
Thomas

Outbound (CPH-VNO)

Inbound (VNO-CPH)

So on the way out you get a Air Baltic Boeing 737-500 and on the inbound a Fokker 100 but I don't now the operator of this aircraft on this segment...

inbound a Fokker 100 is planned, but I don't now who operate this aircraft

GDS is showing Moldavian Airlines operating for Air Baltic. Someone closer might have different information.

You guys are just great.

It's a little odd though, that Moldavian airlines would be operating the flight. I just searched the database, and there is only one piture of Moldavian airlines, Fokker 100 at CPH.
It is a quite recent picture though.

I don't know if i am fully satisfied, if it is the case that it will be Moldavian airlines.
I purchased my ticket with SAS, because i beleive it is a big carrier, with a high level of maintenance.
I dont know if that counts for Molddavian Airlines, but in my mind it isn't.

Do you guys think it is ok for SAS to send me with Moldavian Airlines ??

Best regards
Thomas

I just talked with an SAS sales representative, and he refused, that it would be Moldavian airlines on that peticular flight. He said his system was saying Air Baltic.

However, he said that Moldavian sometimes operates some flights for Air Baltic.

I'm not sure if i would like to fly Moldavian airlines, when i booked an SAS ticket. Anyone have any experiene with Moldavian Airlines ??

Best regards

For what it's worth, they at least passed their IOSA Audit...  Smile

IOSA - IATA Operational Safety Audit - Dec 21, 2005

In December 2005 Moldavian Airlines successfully passed the IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA). IOSA, a benchmark for safety management in airlines, is the internationally recognized programme of auditing airline operational management and control systems aimed at improving the industry operations safety.

The IOSA registration is a prerequisite for any code share cooperation for all IATA member airlines. The successful completion of this audit opens up a completely new era and gives MDV many new opportunities to explore

Where on the ticket does it show the equipment ? Maybe on the printed itinerary that comes with the ticket (or replaces it, in the case of an e-ticket), but there is no space on a paper ticket to show equipment type.
