My DC-3 Flight!

Tue Jun 20, 2000 1:14 am

During the next 2-3 weeks, I shall maybe fly on a DC-3.
The aircraft, which is from 1942, belongs to Dakota Norway, and flies small (30 min's) flights from Torp airport (120 Km's south of Oslo) and over the nearby beaches, houses, cityes, before it returns to Torp.
The price is about £31, or $44.

Didn't you think that sounds great??

Hey! I flew that plane (LN-WND) belonging to Dakota Norway som weeks ago! It did a few flights from Kjeller Air Base (Norway) over Oslo and then back.
It was quite a interesting experience. The flight controls of this aircraft is all manual and especially it was funny to feel the lack of yaw damping.

You really have something to look forward to!

:-( I knew I missed something on my Scandinavian multi-flight trip http://www.airliners.net/discussions/general_aviation/read.main/242563/
maybe a reason to go there a next time. But a sensation was seeing a Swedish registered DC-3 in SAS colours flying above Stockholm... It made a day trip from Bromma Airport. I informed, and these flights weren't open for general public.
nobody has ever died from hard work, but why take the risk?
