Delta Advertising

Sat Jun 24, 2006 12:13 am

Well, it seems that Delta is the official sponcer of the S train in NYC. All of Grand Central Station was filled with DL signs, posters, announcements, and advertisements. The S train (Times Square - Grand Central Shuttle) was especially flodded with Delta Ads. Every corner, beam, wall etc. had a DL ad on it.
Who is their advertising firm?
Did they change recently? Anywhere else you have seen them advertising aggresively?

Yes, DL's ad agency recently changed from Ogilvy & Mather to SS&K (the same people who handled Song).

I have seen billboards along hwy 101 in the Bay Area promoting their new European service. However the font size of the destination is so small it's almost distracting while driving.

We call it the Grand central shuttle as there are 3 train routes with the letter "S" designation.

Did any one in Europe see the sanctuary commercials. They seem okay to me.

Actually most of us NYC'ers just call it the Shuttle. If it needs qualification, we say "Shuttle to Grand Central" otherwise it's just the shuttle.

As for the ads themselves, I think they look great, bravo to SS&K for continuing their great work on Song and bringing it to Delta, and as someone who works for one of the big agency groups, glad to see it's no longer with O&M.

Indeed. In fact, I think the term "Shuttle" in this case is more often confused with the DL shuttle to BOS than any other "S" train...
